Hi all, greetings from India, Day 11 or 12- too amazed to remember which.
We are back in Cochin staying at our nicest place but still get the power outages. Only a few more days in this country of contradictions.
We traveled south by train and bus to this amazing Ashram on the south Arabian Sea, actually it sits between the sea and a section of the backwater. No photos were allowed but I found it trans-formative.
We attended a two day training in meditation and breath control (I was the only one of our group that actually completed the full two day mediation training) designed by Amma the "guru" who was unfortunately not there when we were there. I did learn the method and have been practicing early each morning. It was a very happy place to be.
By bus, second class train and rickshaw we made it to the backwater houseboat for a 24 ride. Lovely, I hope to attach a picture, stunning beauty. The best was a walk we took along the side of a side canal, going back in time to see an India few ever do.
The group is doing fairly well in general but all will be happy to be home soon.
So much love to each one of you, Jed
PS In a picture I will send , I am wearing my new suit that I bought in the thrift store in the ashram, pants cost ten cents and the shirt thirty cents.
