As with every year at this time, Cp Rochester is seeking groups/ families and individuals to support CP Rochester and the folks that they serve by “adapting “ families for the Holiday Season. For those new to this request, this would involve providing holiday gifts and / food baskets for families that we serve who are financially burdened. Each of the families that they assign meet specific criteria including income that is below poverty level, no other agency / religious affiliations that are offering support and limited extended family resources. They match families of all sizes with civic and corporate groups and provided information ( such as wish lists, sizes and gender) needed to purchase gifts, clothes and much needed items.
Due to confidentiality, the collected e items are delivered by their Social Work staff. How you gather together to collect the items is up to you. Some people put up a giving tree – and have people pick items to purchase, while others just assign items amongst themselves.
