The National Kidney Foundation Serving Upstate and Western New York has been selected as the featured charity for the annual Better Contractor Bureau Home Fair Expo. Volunteers are needed to help raise awareness as to the causes of kidney disease, prevention methods for at-risk populations, and treatment options for people living with kidney disease. Prior experience or knowledge of kidney disease is not required The National Kidney Foundation is also looking for volunteers to help run a silent auction at the event in order to raise funds to support local programs which include: Kidney Early Evaluation Program, Kidney Health Risk Assessments, Kidneys in the Classroom presentations, Love Your Kidneys presentations, Health Fair participation, kidney disease literature distribution, and NKF Cares/Peers Lending Support toll-free hotlines. We are looking for volunteers to commit 3 hours of their time to support kidney disease awareness, prevention, and treatment.
